NEWS – December, 2009 EnSoCo completes the final OBC survey in a series of 6 surveys EnSoCo has completed the last of a series of legacy regional surveys for ExxonMobil. The project started with an initial review in 2006, leading to the award of subsequent surveys. EnSoCo developed many new techniques in working on these surveys and were able to provide new positioning information that had both increased accuracy and were formatted into SPS format for merging with the seismic data. EnSoCo awarded follow on work for Chevron Thailand EnSoCo has been awarded additional work on legacy surveys for Chevron Thailand. The work involves research and review of geodesy on older marine surveys. EnSoCo awarded conversion work for Murphy Oil EnSoCo has been asked to provide coordinate conversion services with verification on various projects for Murphy Oil in Houston. NEWS – November, 2009 EnSoCo completes project for NuCoastal Thailand EnSoCo has completed the re-processing of a legacy marine 3D survey for NuCoastal Thailand. The survey involved full re-processing from raw navigation field data through to final source and receiver positions in UKOOA P1/90 format. NEWS – October, 2009 EnSoCo implements an ArcGIS Explorer application EnSoCo working with Integrated Infomatics has developed and implemented a web based geospatial map viewer for seismic positioning data. With an underlying geospatial database containing seismic metadata, the viewer can rapidly zoom to areas of interest and post information about prospects, lines, shot point and their associated metadata. NEWS – September, 2009 EnSoCo completes processing projects for Chevron Nigeria Seismic Ltd. EnSoCo completed two legacy marine 3D surveys for Chevron Seismic Nigeria. The work involved data recovery and reformatting as well as full re-processing to generate final UKOOA P1/90’s from legacy raw navigation field data. NEWS – August, 2009 EnSoCo awarded GIGS review of ARCGIS 9.3 EnSoCo was awarded the test and reviews on the joint industry program (JIP) assessment of ESRI’s ARCGIS 9.3.1 suite of software. EnSoCo will conduct a series of geodetic and software evaluations as defined by a sub- committee of the OGP Survey and Positioning Group and managed by Cain and Barnes, LLC. The evaluation is expected to take between 3 and 4 months. The ArcGIS review is the third in a series of three software suite evaluations. Guidelines and public results will be available at http://www.cain-barnes.com/index.php/gigs NEWS – July, 2009 EnSoCo adds support for Canada’s NTv2 CRS transformation to and from NAD83 and NAD27 EnSoCo has completed testing and certification processes for supplying its Geodetic Utilities Software package with this transformation methodology. Under the agreement with Natural Resources Canada, users of the software will be required to license the grid files (GSB) from the geodetic survey of Canada. These files are to be installed in the EnSoCo “base” sub-directory in order for the CRS translation to be usable. EnSoCo utilized re-processing, map scanning and digitizing and GIS skill sets to organize and map the legacy data. EnSoCo continues work on several 3D legacy projects awarded by CGGVeritas in 2008. EnSoCo awarded legacy re-processing project for Chevron Nigeria Seismic Ltd. EnSoCo has been awarded a data recovery and format translation project and a legacy marine 3D navigation re- processing project by Chevron Nigeria Seismic Ltd. EnSoCo has offered extended processing services in support of a long term re-processing program extending through 2011. NEWS – May, 2009 EnSoCo awarded legacy re-processing project for NuCoastal Thailand EnSoCo has been awarded a legacy marine 3D navigation re-processing project by NuCoastal Thailand. The survey was acquired in the late 1980’s. EnSoCo will employ first break picking to strengthen the near trace offsets and will utilize its Pseudo Compass Modeling algorithms to improve trace positioning. EnSoCo awarded legacy re-processing project for Legends Exploration LLC. EnSoCo has been awarded a digitizing project involving seismic coordinate data and contours off hard copy maps. The project will involve scanning, geo-referencing, generation of SEG-P1 coordinate files, ESRI shape file generation of fault and contour images. NEWS – February, 2009 EnSoCo enters its 6th year of support services for Anadarko Petroleum EnSoCo continues providing coordinate QC, geodesy and data translation and loading in support of seismic services. EnSoCo utilizes ESRI GIS technology combined with its proprietary software and geodetic expertise. NEWS – January, 2009 EnSoCo completes another legacy OBC survey for ExxonMobil EnSoCo has completed another in a series of legacy ocean bottom cable surveys for ExxonMobil. EnSoCo have been able to yield significant improvement in the source and receiver positions over the original positioning and re- processing attempts. Processed results include SPS navigation files with “X” relationship indexes, area bathymetry model, near surface refraction velocity contour and processing reports. |
